Part-time Babysitter
Babysitters are hired to watch children after-school or while parents enjoy an evening out. Babysitters are usually available on short notice. They can sometimes be called upon, for the night, before care is needed—or even the day of. They are flexible and work nights and/or weekends They have the same obligations as a nanny, but they work part-time or occasionally.
Full-time Babysitter
A Babysitter is a childcare professional who takes care of children at the family home on a daily basis.
- Organizing creative activities and educational games
- Preparing kids’ meals and feeding them (including bottle-feeding for babies)
- Changing diapers and bathing infants.
As a Babysitter, you’ll take care of children, keep them safe and clean, plan meals for them and organize creative and educational activities based on their age. Occasionally, you’ll need to pick them up from school or other extracurricular activities.
Live-in Babysitter
Live-in babysitters become part of the family, and they are not just hired hands, through caring for the children and cooking for them, cleaning up after them, helping them with homework, and taking them to and from school and other activities. A Live-in Nanny has a room in the family home and eats meals with the family.
Holiday Nanny
A holiday babysitter may be a full-time caregiver who travels with their employers or a specialized childcare professional who is hired for family vacations or work trips.
